Drug scenes (original title: Scénarios sur la drogue , also 3,000 scénarios sur la drogue ) is a French episode film from the year 2000, which is dedicated to people and their use of drugs in individual contributions . The feature film was shown as a television series on the Franco-German channel Arte .

History of origin

The individual episodes were created as part of a competition of the same name, which was organized by the Center régional d'information et de prévention du sida (CRIPS) in Aquitaine between November 15, 1998 and April 30, 1999 , in order to enter into dialogue with the citizens. The French state information and documentation center for drug abuse had already started a similar campaign on AIDS five years earlier with 3000 scénarios contre un virus , which resulted in a film with 30 episodes. The competition was launched during the European Week on Drug Addiction.

The participants were asked to only submit original scripts. Each film should have a maximum running time of five minutes. The stories were allowed to deal with both legal drugs such as alcohol and cigarette consumption and illegal ones such as drug abuse or cannabis .

3624 ideas were submitted, 24 of which were filmed. Well-known filmmakers such as Étienne Chatiliez , Georges Lautner , Antoine de Caunes , Marion Vernoux and Vincent Perez and as actors and others were able to direct the scripts . a. Chiara Mastroianni , Claude Jade , Valeria Bruni Tedeschi , Sylvie Testud , Darry Cowl and Pierre Richard .

The films were first shown on French television on February 7, 2000. The campaign involved, among other things TF1 , France 2 , France 3 , TPS and the Franco-German TV Arte , which broadcast the films at the same time in Germany as a short film series. The films have also been shown in French cinemas and screened at various film festivals, including the 53rd Cannes Film Festival in 2000.

Reviews

Sophie Latil ( Le Figaro ) praised drug scenes as "dramatic, surrealistic, delicate, humorous" . The tone is good, the film as “complex as life.” Sophie Rostain ( Liberation ) noted that the question of morality clearly separates the films from one another. “There are those who have some. And the others. Without being perverse, it is clear that one prefers the others. ” Rostain highlighted the episode Dernière année by Fred Journet and Bernard Schoukroun with leading actress Laura Favali - “ A film that pleases because it has no morals ... ”
