Mathieu Delarive
Mathieu Delarive (born February 5, 1975 in Paris ) is a French actor .
Life
Mathieu Delarive received his acting training at the Cours Florent in Paris; later he undertook further training (including at Les Ateliers de Chaillot and the Ateliers Steve Kalfa ) and attended courses based on the Meisner method. After his training he played his first stage roles at the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris. a. in Le Faiseur (directed by Michel Galabru ), Le Malade imaginaire and in the stage version by Le Talentueux Mr. Ripley based on the novel by Patricia Highsmith . He then worked mainly for television and cinema. In 2013 he appeared again at the Théâtre des Variétés alongside Amanda Lear , who played the leading role, as Baptiste in the play Divina by Jean Robert-Charrier (production: Nicolas Briançon ).
He made his television debut in 1996 in the French mini-series Terre indigo by Jean Sagols (starring Francis Huster ), a French family saga set in the 1920s. This was followed by a guest role in the US sitcom All Under One Roof .
In the years that followed, Delarive became one of the actors regularly booked for French television. He starred in numerous television films, miniseries, and television series. Since 1997 he has worked for television a. a. directed by Serge Moati , Serge Korber , Jean-Louis Lorenzi , Agnès Delarive , Lionel Epp , Jean Sagols, Arnaud Sélignac , Claude Goretta and Elisabeth Rappeneau . He had recurring series roles in the French television series Cellule Identité (2008; as a police officer Capitaine Clément Valois), Ligne de feu (2009; as a fireman Iker Larramendy) and in Les Bleus (2007-2010). In Les Bleus he played Yann Berthier, a captain of the BAC ( Brigade anti-criminalité ), and the partner of the homosexual series main character, the policeman Kévin Laporte.
Delarive also worked for the cinema, where he mostly had minor supporting roles. In the cinema he played a. a. directed by Jean Veber , Gérard Pirès , Raffy Shart and Philippe Lefebvre . In the movie Comme les cinq doigts de la main (2010) by Alexandre Arcady , he played the youngest of five brothers, alongside Patrick Bruel , Pascal Elbé , Eric Caravaca , Vincent Elbaz and Françoise Fabian . He also starred in short films by Didier Blasco, Guillaume Husson, José Fosse, Vincent Perez (2000; in drug scenes ) and Michaël Nakache.
In May 2017, Delarive was seen on ZDF in the "Herzkino" television film River of Life - Beloved Loire in the male lead; he played, alongside Anna Fischer and Lisa Kreuzer in the other leading roles, the ship's captain Pierre. Delarive, who has a good knowledge of German, spoke his part in German himself, without dubbing. In the ARD television series Weingut Wader , Delarive took over at III. and IV. part, which was first broadcast in autumn 2019, the role of the French wine commissioner Christian Lemaire.
Delarive lives in Paris.
