Mizzi Palme (* 1881 ; † January 30, 1907 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ) was an Austrian actress and chansonni ère.

life and career

As early as 1895, the then 14-year-old was engaged at the Carltheater , which no longer exists today , but also appeared in small roles at the Deutsches Volkstheater , today's Volkstheater in Vienna. From 1899 she was also a member of the Theater in der Josefstadt . The Austrian journalist and writer Stefan Großmann wrote in The Shoulders of Mizzi Palme and other texts , a work that was only published in 1995 and thus 60 years after Großmann's death, about Mizzi Palme, a young woman who on a summer's day Platform met Peter Altenberg , who could no longer take his eyes off the young beauty. Großmann also writes in his work that Altenberg could briefly see the bare shoulders and neck of the young actress when she changed her blouse in the waiting hall of the train station. On January 30, 1907, Palme died in Vienna at the age of 25 and 26, respectively. In the Picture Archive of the Austrian National Library a few portraits exist of palm.
