Sky Fighters is a 2005 French action film directed by Gérard Pirès , who had great success with his 1998 film Taxi .

The film is about the two French fighter pilots who are friends, Antoine “Walk'in” Marchelli and Sébastien “Fahrenheit” Vallois. During the Farnborough International Airshow in England one is combat aircraft of the type Dassault Mirage 2000 stolen. The pilot of the hijacked machine tries to escape hidden under an Airbus A340-600 from Qatar Airways . Because he threatened Vallois, he was shot down with an on-board cannon by Marchelli, also flying a Mirage 2000.

A distance of 6600 km over hostile territory to the Horn of Africa is to be flown to demonstrate the potential of the Mirage 2000 and to guarantee a major order for France.
In this competition, the second necessary in -flight refueling of the three Mirage 2000 combat aircraft involved is sabotaged. Only one refueling is carried out. During the inevitable emergency landing on a lonely runway in the middle of the African desert, the planes are hijacked. Although the two fighter pilots manage to overpower the aircraft thieves, killing Ipod, destroy one of the three stolen aircraft using a Fox 2 missile and escape in the other, but one fighter aircraft remains missing.
