Vivian "Viv" Erzerum Bede McGrath (born February 17, 1916 , † April 9, 1978 ) was an Australian tennis player .
His greatest success was winning the Australian Tennis Championships (today: Australian Open ) in 1937. In the final, he beat John Bromwich 6: 3, 1: 6, 6: 0, 2: 6 and 6: 1.
In doubles he was able to triumph together with Jack Crawford in 1935 at the Australian Tennis Championships.
McGrath was one of the first tennis players to use the two-handed backhand.
