Manuel Blanc
Manuel Blanc (born June 12, 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) is a French actor and writer .
Life
After first experiences in amateur theater groups, Blanc originally wanted to become a director , but rejected this plan and turned to working in front of the camera. For his first film, André Téchiné's hustler drama I don't kiss (with Philippe Noiret and Emmanuelle Béart ), he received the César for Best Young Actor .
His second film was Jacques Deray's crime film The Lawyer with Alain Delon . In 1994 he received the Prix Jean Gabin for Deux fois mal éteints . To date he has worked in over 50 film and television productions and worked with the well-known French directors: Josée Dayan , Édouard Molinaro , Werner Schroeter , Stéphan Guérin-Tillié , Antony Hickling , Jérôme Savary and Philippe Calvario .
In 2001 he received the Molière Award for the play Ladies Night .
Blanc lives openly gay in Paris . His first novel Carnaval was published in 2014 .
