Darry Cowl (actually André Darricau , born August 27, 1925 in Vittel , † February 14, 2006 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) was a French actor, comedian and musician.

Life

Cowl was founded in 2004 with the French film award César as Best Supporting Actor for his role in Alain Resnais ' comedy Out of the mouth excellent. His life's work had previously been recognized with the César Prize of Honor in 2001 . Cowl was in his choice of roles mainly on comedies, so in a number of films Jean Yannes , specialized.

To his theater work include, inter alia, the piece On purge bébé Feu la mère de Madame , for which he received the French theater prize in 1995 Molière as Best Supporting Actor won.

Cowl died of complications from lung cancer .
