Nicolas Farina (born August 9, 1986 in Metz ) is a French football player .

Career

Nicolas Farina started playing football in his hometown when he joined the youth team of then-first division club FC Metz . For the 2005/06 season he came to the professional squad. On March 15, 2006 Farina made his professional debut when he came on as a substitute for Laurent Agouazi in the 79th minute on the last matchday of Ligue 1, against Paris Saint-Germain . At this point, however, the relegation from FC Metz to Ligue 2 was already certain. In the second division season, Farina was at least used. However, he was denied a regular place.

The resurgence could be made, where he was awarded for the 2007/08 season and came under the lower class club AS Cannes . For the 2008/09 season Farina returned to FC Metz. Despite 23 appearances this season, he was again denied a regular place. For these reasons, Farina went to the then third division club FC Évian Thonon Gaillard in 2009 . In 2010 he rose to Ligue 2 with this team. In 2011 they even made it through to Ligue 1.

On June 14, 2012, the then German second division club Energie Cottbus announced Farina's commitment with a contract term until 2014. In summer 2014 he left the club with an unknown destination. After half a year without a club, he was hired in January 2015 by the then Luxembourg second division club RFC Union Luxembourg , with whom he was promoted to the BGL Ligue . For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Romanian club Petrolul Ploieşti , where his contract was dissolved on January 7, 2016 after only eight games. In February 2016 he moved to the French fourth division team Stade Olympique Choletais in the Pays de la Loire region . In the 2016/17 season he rose to the third-class national with the club .
