Nicole Metzger (born May 18, 1969 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a German jazz singer .

Life

Nicole Metzger began her classical guitar training at the age of nine. At the age of 15 she started her first musical projects as a lead singer in various bands. In 1986 she met the opera soprano and singing teacher Brigitta Seidler-Winkler, who she trained to be a professional singer and terlological singing teacher using her method of the “New Immesheim School”.

In 1988, Metzger began her five-year degree as a musical actress at the American Performing Arts Company and the Frankfurt Musical School. In 1993 she completed her studies with the stage maturity test . This was followed by several musical engagements in France ("Aldonza" in The Man of La Mancha ) and Germany ("Soulgirl" in Little Shop of Horrors ). At the same time, she worked as a singer and band leader in the blues, gospel, but above all in the jazz area.

Since 1995, Metzger has devoted himself exclusively to jazz. She gives concerts and appears at festivals as a band leader of her permanent band projects or as a guest soloist, in ensembles ranging from duo to big band.

As a singing teacher for jazz, pop and musical singing, she gives lessons, supervises professional singers on tours and conducts workshops.
