Nicole Riepl

Nicole Riepl (born October 23, 1977 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since May 20, 2020 she has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Carinthian state parliament .

Life

After completing compulsory school in 1992, Nicole Riepl attended the Hahrbach technical school in Klagenfurt. From 1993 to 1996 she completed an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman at Palmers . She then worked as a retail saleswoman, and has been running an agricultural business since 1999. Riepl is married and has two children.

In the Chamber of Agriculture elections in 2016, she ran for the SPÖ Farmers Carinthia. Since November 2018, Riepl has been the district chairwoman of the SPÖ women in the Völkermarkt district , and she is also a member of the SPÖ Carinthia's state party executive . From 2018 she was a substitute member of the Federal Council , initially for Ingo Appé and from 2019 for Gerhard Leitner . After his death on 19 May 2020 which succeeded him as the Carinthian parliament in the Federal seconded a member of, on June 4, 2020, she was sworn in .
