Nicoletta Merighetti (born January 27, 1966 in Brescia ) is a former Italian ski racer . She specialized in the slalom discipline, was among the top 15 three times in the World Cup , won the silver medal at the Junior World Championship in 1984 and came third in the European Cup slalom ranking in the 1985/86 season . She is the cousin of ski racer Daniela Merighetti .

biography

Nicoletta Merighetti celebrated her greatest success at junior level at the 1984 Junior World Championships in the US American ski resort Sugarloaf , when she won the silver medal in slalom behind Austrian Monika Maierhofer . The year before , she had taken sixth place in Sestriere .

In the European Cup , the Italian achieved her best overall results in the 1985/86 season . She was third in the slalom classification and ninth in the overall classification. The following winter of 1986/87 was the only one in which Merighetti won points in the World Cup . She drove under the fastest 15 in three slaloms and achieved an eighth place as the best result in Mellau on January 11, 1987. With that she finished 21st in the Slalom World Cup. Merighetti was also part of the Italian squad at the 1987 World Cup in Crans-Montana , where she was eliminated in the first slalom run.
