The Nida is a river in the south of Poland . It is a tributary of the Vistula , into which it flows near the Polish city of Nowy Korczyn . The Nida is 151 km long, its catchment area is 3865 km².

The headwaters of the river are located about 50 kilometers west of Kielce in the Czarnca Forest , about three kilometers northwest of the village of Bebelno-Wieś . The upper reaches of the river have been used for centuries by the residents through numerous fish ponds. The flow direction of the Nida on the upper reaches is constant in an easterly direction (Kielce), the first larger town is Popowice . To the west of the town of Żerniki (on the main road from Kielce to Krakow), the Lossosina flows in as a left tributary, coming from the north, from there the Nida bends in a sharp arc to the south and takes the Czarna Nida flowing in from the east - the main tributary from the surrounding area Kielce - as a left tributary. At Pińczów the Mierzawa joins as a right tributary. The Nida flows into the Vistula at Nowy Korczyn as a left tributary.
