Niederbesslingen ( Luxembourgish Kierchen , French Basbellain ) is a village in the municipality of Ulflingen , Canton of Clervaux in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Niederbesslingen is located in the north of Luxembourg on the border with Belgium . Neighboring towns are Oberbesslingen in the north and Gödingen in the east . The Wiltz , a tributary of the Sauer, flows through the village . The Luxembourg – Spa railway also runs west of the town .
General
Between 1795 and 1908 Niederbesslingen was the main town of the municipality of the same name. Since the dissolution of this community, Niederbesslingen has belonged to the Ulflingen community. The center of the village is the church of St. Michael, built in neo-Gothic style in 1870, with the cemetery surrounding it . Many historical tombstones have been preserved in the cemetery.
