Oberdorf is a village and district of the municipality Hilgertshausen-Tandern in the district of Dachau , which belongs to Upper Bavaria in Bavaria .
The districts also include the hamlets Gartelsried and Niederdorf and the desert areas Oberdinkelhof and Unterdinkelhof .

geography

Oberdorf is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country , which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .

Oberdorf is located about 1.2 km north of Tandern and about 3 km west-northwest of Hilgertshausen. Niederdorf is about 500 m east, Ober- and Unterdinkelhof both about 1.2 km northeast and Gartelsried about 1 km southeast of Oberdorf.

Gartelsried is located on the DAH 8 district road from Tandern to Hilgertshausen, which runs in a west-east direction . The other districts are only on local roads.

The Hüttgraben rises south of Oberdorf and flows further east through Niederdorf and flows into the Ilm in Hilgertshausen as a left tributary .

history

Ober- and Niederdorf and Gartelsried belong to the Catholic parish of Sankt Peter and Paul in Tandern, Ober- and Unterdinkelhof to the Catholic parish of Sankt Stephan in Hilgertshausen.

Until April 1, 1971, Oberdorf and its districts belonged to the district of Aichach as an independent municipality and, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, was added to the district of Dachau and incorporated into the municipality of Tandern.
