The house Niedergasse 53 is a listed residential building in Stolberg (Harz) in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the middle part of Niedergasse on its eastern side in the old town of Stolberg. Immediately to the north is the Friwi factory , which is also listed , and to the south is the house at Niedergasse 55 .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half-timbered house typical of the region was built after dating in 1709 and is characteristic of the street scene. The half-timbered elements of the half man can be found on its half-timbered facade . The threshold is profiled and slightly curved. The southern gable of the house is clad with boards. The front door on the left edge of the building was changed in the 19th century.

In the local register of monuments , the house has been listed as a monument since August 30, 2000 under the registration number 094 30263 . The residential building is considered to be culturally, artistically and urbanistically significant.
