The house Niedergasse 57 is a listed residential building in Stolberg (Harz) in the municipality of Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located in the middle part of Niedergasse on its eastern side in the old town of Stolberg. Immediately to the north is the house Niedergasse 55 , to the south the house Niedergasse 59 .

Architecture and history

The two-storey half - timbered house was built in the Baroque era and forms a largely undisturbed ensemble with the surrounding buildings. The building cubature is based on the row of houses adjoining to the south. The half-timbered facade is characterized on the upper floor by the half-timbered element of the Thuringian ladder .

In the local register of monuments , the house has been listed as a monument since August 30, 2000 under registration number 094 30265 . The residential building is considered to be culturally, artistically and urbanistically significant.
