Niels Clemmensen

Niels Thøger Clemmensen (born February 27, 1900 in Copenhagen ; † May 25, 1950 there ) was a Danish composer and pianist.

The son of journalist Christian Algast Clemmensen studied at the Royal Conservatory in Copenhagen until 1924 . Since the 1930s he has composed music for theater (including Fra Kap til Kronborg , 1930, Union Jack , 1931) and film music ( Paustian's Uhr , 1932, Naar man kun er ung , 1943, De tre skolekammerater , 1944, Røverne fra Rold , 1947). He also set poems by Hans Hartvig Seedorff Pedersen (including Den er fin med kompasset , 1930 and Tjin-Tjin-Juanita , 1930) and Sigfred Pedersen , (including Katinka, Katinka , 1936 and Søren Bramfris lærkesang , 1940). Clemmensen's brother was the journalist Carl Henrik Clemmensen .
