action

In 1985 a sinister serial killer raged in Los Angeles ; the killer known as Nightstalker invades houses at night, murders the residents and leaves satanic symbols and lettering on the walls. Officers Martinez, Mayberry and Eliot start the investigation, but are in the dark. When Martinez forwards police information to the press, she is suspended and the killer herself targets her. Together with Frank, her former partner from her time as a patrol officer, she continues to try to track down the perpetrator, where Frank is shot by the perpetrator. When Eliot tries to take Martinez home after the incident, they run into an injured woman who has just been attacked by the killer. Martinez and Eliot manage to locate the perpetrator's car under a bridge, where Eliot shoots an innocent man because he believes he has the perpetrator in front of him. Shortly afterwards, the Nightstalker attacks the two officers, injuring Eliot and threatening Martinez. However, Eliot manages to shoot the perpetrator, whereupon he can be arrested.
