Niila Arajuuri (born March 7, 1987 ), Niila for short , is a Finnish singer and songwriter whose style includes pop and folk .

Life

Niila Arajuuri grew up in a musical household. He is a multi-instrumentalist and can also play the piano and acoustic guitar, among other things. At the age of 18 he started to write his own songs and performed in small restaurants and bars. According to himself, it was his big dream to play football professionally one day, but in 2006 he finally decided to go to music.

Frontman Samu Haber from the Finnish pop and rock band Sunrise Avenue supported him with his songs and helped him to assert himself in the music scene. He recognized Arajuuri's talent and they worked together on new songs.

At the end of June 2015 he went on the Fairytales Best of Tour as a support act for the band and presented his 4-track EP Sorry to an average of 25,000 people. At the end of December he went on a solo tour in Germany and played in sold out bars and halls all over Germany.

On March 11, 2016, his debut album Gratitude was released by Polydor (Universal Music), which briefly entered the German, Swiss and Austrian charts (rank 42, 60, 47). In advance on February 26, 2016, the single Restless Heart was released , which reached the top position in the Finnish download charts. The song's music video was shot in Africa. A deluxe version of the album was also released in the summer of 2016, with some live tracks and a song called A Hundred Years , which he wrote and published with Samu Haber.
