Nikesh Shukla
Nikesh Shukla (born in London ) is a British writer.
Life
Nikesh Shukla grew up in the migrant milieu of the British Asians in the London borough of Harrow . His father was a Kenyan Indian who moved to England with his parents. He is a spoken word poet and released his first album as a musician in 2004. He has published several essays, short stories, and novels and is a columnist for The Guardian . He wrote a sitcom for Channel 4 in 2011 . In 2014 he co-wrote the short film Two Dosas . In 2017 he edited the book of short stories The Good Immigrant by "21 British writers of color" and then founded The Good Journal .
His novel Coconut Unlimited was shortlisted for First Novel at the 2010 Costa Book Awards . In 2015 he was a juror at the Kitchies literary prize .
He has lived in Bristol with his wife and children since 2011 .
