Nikkie Plessen (born May 8, 1985 in Utrecht ) is a Dutch actress , presenter and model .

Life

Plessen was born in Utrecht and grew up in Wijk bij Duurstede . In 1990, at the age of five, she attended various dance schools and practiced tap dance , jazz ballet and video dance. Then she went to the theater school of Roel Tijhof at the age of nine , where she played in several small musicals and plays until 2000 . In 2002 she graduated from Revius College in Doorn with a Havo certificate and began studying law at the University of Amsterdam in 2004 . However, she dropped out of studies for her television career without a degree.

Acting & moderation career

Plessen got a recurring role as Marieke de Jong in the Dutch soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen in 1998 and returned to this role again and again in the following years until 2000. In 2000 she was to play her first and so far only feature film role as Vera in the romantic thriller The Cave , directed by Martin Koolhoven . In 2001 a three-month guest role followed in the Dutch soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden .

In 2004 she volunteered for a year at the AMC Hospital in Amsterdam as a presenter for Emma Kinder TV .

Then, at the age of 19, she got the role of Irina van Beek in the Jetix children's adventure series Hotnews.nl and stayed with the series for a year. After that, on September 6, 2006, Plessen was introduced as a video jockey at the Dutch music television broadcaster The Music Factory , where she took over the moderation of the talk show Reaction from Renate Verbaan in summer 2008 . In addition, Plessen occasionally presented the late night show De Dagrand .

In 2008, Plessen switched to RTL 5 and hosted the television shows Can't Buy Me Love , Miss & Mrs. Perfect and We Love The 90's Met Nikkie .

Since the end of 2010, she also moderated De ... 15 , the Dutch version of The ... 10 . On December 13, 2012, RTL 5 temporarily withdrew her broadcasts from the station and her contract was frozen. After quitting as a presenter on RTL 5, she became a fashion designer in January 2013 and published her first clothing line.

Private

Since 2003 she has had a relationship with self-made millionaire Ruben Bontekoe, with whom she has a daughter.
