Niklas Rimmel

Niklas Sean Rimmel (born July 5, 1999 in Berlin ) is a German baseball player on the position of pitcher . On September 22, 2017, Rimmel signed a professional contract with the Minnesota Twins and has since been active for the franchise in the minor leagues .

Life

Niklas Rimmel attended the Buchbinder Legionaries' sports boarding school in Regensburg and graduated from the Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium there in 2018. As a child he mainly played soccer , but his father made him aware of the sport of baseball and finally began to play baseball himself with the Fürth Pirates . Rimmel's father was active with the Cologne Cardinals and the Berlin Sluggers in the baseball league .

Rimmel began his baseball career with the Fürth Pirates , where he also trained with his father.

Buchbinder Legionnaires Regensburg (2014 to 2018)

At the age of 15, Rimmel moved to the Regensburg baseball boarding school. He played for both the youth team and the 1st men's team of the Buchbinder legionaries.

Minor league career with the Minnesota Twins (since 2017)

On September 22, 2017, Rimmel signed a professional contract with the Minnesota Twins . He played eight games in the Golf Coast League, a rookie league , for the Golf Coast League Twins in the 2018 season .
