Nikola Hahn (born November 8, 1963 in Wehrda ) is a German crime writer.

Nikola Hahn grew up in Angelburg- Lixfeld. After graduating from high school, she studied at the administrative college in Cologne (inspector career at Deutsche Post), but broke off her studies to begin training with the Hessian police. In the autumn of 1986, Nikola Hahn was transferred to the riot police in Mühlheim am Main , was on duty at Frankfurt am Main airport , was deployed in demonstrations and was seconded several times to the police in the city and district of Offenbach . Even as a child, Nikola Hahn wrote stories in her school notebooks; first serious work dates from 1980. Parallel to her police training, she began long distance learning in fiction , poetry and non- fiction in 1985, after which she mainly wrote poems and short stories, some of which were published in anthologies and magazines. From 1988 to 1990 she worked part-time freelance for the daily newspaper Offenbach-Post ; From 1993 to 1996 she was a member of the editorial team of the Hessische Polizeirundschau, published work-related articles. In addition, she was part of the editorial team of a literary magazine for several years.

In 1995 her first book, Baumgesicht , was published, a workshop edition with short prose and poems. The historical detective novel Die Detektivin followed in 1998, and Die Wassermühle , a contemporary novel , in the summer of 2000 . Her third novel, The Color of Crystal , another historical thriller, was published in September 2002. In summer 2003 her (out of print) debut Baumgesicht was reissued.

The total circulation of her books is more than 300,000 (as of 2006).

Nikola Hahn is a member of the German Society for Police History, the Syndicate , the group of authors of German-language crime literature and Agent of International Penfriends (IPF).
