Nikolai Petrovich Sungurow ( Russian: Николай Петрович Сунгуров ; scientific transliteration Nikolaj Petrovič Sungurov ; * 1805 ; †? In Siberia )
Career
He was the leader of a secret society in Moscow that after the collapse of the Dekabristenaufstandes formed in 1825 and in opposition to Tsar Nicholas I stood. He was arrested in 1831 and sentenced to forced labor. Also Yakov Kostenezki (1811-1885), a student of the Moscow University , was on the so-called Sungurow affair ( Сунгуровское дело involved). Sungurov died in exile in Siberia .
