Nikolaos Kalogeropoulos

Nikolaos Kalogeropoulos ( Greek Νικόλαος Καλογερόπουλος , * 1851 in Chalkida ( Euboea ); † January 7, 1927 ) was a Greek politician and prime minister .

Kalogeropoulos studied law in Athens and Paris .

He began his political career with the election of a member of the National Assembly (Voulí ton Ellínon) . There he was re-elected a total of ten times as a representative of the Euboean constituency.

From October to December 1904, January to July 1908 and February to July 1909 he was finance minister in the third and fourth cabinets of Georgios Theotokis .

From September 16 to October 10, 1916, he was Prime Minister himself for the first time. During this tenure, he was also Minister of War and Finance. In 1920 he joined the People's Party (Laiko Komma) founded by Dimitrios Gounaris . From November 1920 to February 1921 he was again Minister of Finance under Prime Minister Dimitrios Rallis .

As the successor to Dimitrios Rallis, he was Prime Minister of a transitional government from February 6 to April 8, 1921 and also took over the office of Foreign Minister. He also held the office of Foreign Minister from September 10 to 29, 1922 in the cabinet of Nikolaos Triantafyllakos .
