Nicholas Eiden

Nikolaus Eiden (born February 2, 1901 in Metternich , † December 15, 1956 in Koblenz ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life and activity

The son of a building contractor attended elementary school , high school , an engineering school and a commercial college. At times Eiden worked as a locksmith. In 1922 he belonged to the technical emergency aid ; until 1933 he worked as an engineer for various companies. In 1929 he married.

Before January 1931 Eiden joined the NSDAP ( membership number 356.879); He was also a member of the Sturmabteilung (SA). In November 1932 he was promoted to SA Standartenführer. At that time he was group relay leader in the Motor-SA. After the transfer of power to the National Socialists, he was promoted to SA Oberführer in August 1933. For the party he appeared as a Gau speaker and was an assessor in the Gaugericht Koblenz-Trier. He later moved to the National Socialist Motor Vehicle Corps (NSKK), where he was promoted to brigade leader in April 1935. Since January 1940 NSKK-Obergruppenführer, from April 1942 Eiden headed the NSKK-Motorobergruppe West and was inspector of the transport units of the NSKK.

Eiden ran in the Reichstag elections in 1936 and 1938 without receiving a seat in the National Socialist Reichstag . On July 20, 1942, he joined the Reichstag as a replacement for the resigned MP Adolf Hühnlein , in which he represented constituency 25 (Lower Bavaria) until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945.

After the war ended, Eiden lived in Koblenz.
