Nikolaus Hug
Nikolaus Hug (born June 14, 1771 in Konstanz , † December 2, 1852 ibid) was a painter, engraver and etcher from Baden.
Life
Nikolaus Hug studied at the Munich Academy and then went to Passau and Vienna.
Hug has produced numerous works from Lake Constance , Thurgau , Hegau to Oberschwaben and Vorarlberg , there are also some works from his time in Vienna. After the death of his father he returned to Constance and in 1803 took on the job of a drawing teacher at the local school.
His vedute paintings are known , but also especially pictures of the flood in 1817 and the sea frost in 1830
