Nikolaus Lauer (theologian)

Nikolaus Lauer (born May 11, 1887 in Blieskastel , † February 16, 1980 in Hainfeld ) was a German Catholic theologian.

Career

Lauer was to study the philosophy and Catholic theology in Würzburg and Trier in 1928 by Speyer Bishop Ludwig Sebastian to the main editor of the diocese sheet The Pilgrim (Catholic weekly newspaper of the Diocese of Speyer appointed). During the time of National Socialism , he saw the newspaper banned in 1942. After the end of the war, he rebuilt the paper and managed it until 1965.

He also worked as a local writer.
