The Nikolayev Range ( Russian Хребет Андрияна Николаева Chrebet Andrijana Nikolajewa ) is a mountain range in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains, it rises between the Austre Skorvebreen and the Lunde Glacier .
Cartographers from the Norsk Polar Institute mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). A new mapping and naming was carried out by participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition in 1961. It is named after the Soviet cosmonaut Andrijan Grigorjewitsch Nikolajew (1929-2004). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Russian name to English in 1970.
