Nikorzminda ( Georgian ნიკორწმინდა , nɪkʼɔrt͡sʼmɪndɑ ) is a village in the Ambrolauri municipality , in the Ratscha-Letschchumi region and Lower Vanetia in Georgia .
Nikorzminda is located north of the Schaori reservoir , 16 kilometers southwest of Ambrolauri . The village has 498 inhabitants (2014). The name of the village is associated with the 11th century cathedral "Nikolaoszminda" (today Nikorzminda Cathedral ). Today this cathedral is an important sight not only for the village, but for all of Georgia.
