Nils Haarmann

Nils Haarmann (born 1983 in Essen ) is a German dramaturge .

Life

Haarmann completed his bachelor's degree in literature , theater and film studies as well as Russian and economics at the universities of Mainz and Bochum. During his studies, he was able to take on assistant directors and dramaturgy as well as internships at the Schauspiel Essen and the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin. He then worked on the interdisciplinary exhibition project hartmut . His master's degree finally took place in Paris at the Université de Paris X Nanterre with Jean Jourdheuil . In parallel to his Paris studies, he worked for the BrazilianCompagnie Bernadete Alves with. In 2008 he was a visiting researcher at Columbia University in New York and a fellow of the Robert Wilson Summer Program at the Watermill Center on Long Island, NY. He has been a dramaturge assistant since the 2009/10 season and since 2010/11 dramaturge at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin. In summer 2014 he made his debut at the Salzburg Festival together with Katie Mitchell and the production The Forbidden Zone .
