The Nimbusryggen ( Norwegian ) is a mountain ridge in the southern part of the Kraulberge in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It rises up between the Muren and Skansen mountains .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1977 after the weather satellite Nimbus-6 , the data of which was received by a weather station erected on the mountain ridge in January 1977.
