The Nimpo Lake is a freshwater lake near Bella Coola in the Canadian province of British Columbia .
It covers an area of 9.88 km² and is a major tourist area with several resorts . Popular among anglers for its abundance of rainbow trout, the lake hosted the 1993 Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships . On the lake is the Nimpo Lake Water Aerodrome , an airport for seaplanes .
