Nina Dmitrievna Sinichenkova

Nina Dmitrijewna Sinitschenkova , Russian Нина Дмитриевна Синиченкова , English transcription Sinitshenkova, Sinichenkova or Sinitchenkova, (born June 30, 1946 in Moscow ) is a Russian paleo entomologist .

Sinichenkova studied entomology at Lomonosov University with a degree in 1972 and then went to the Paleontological Institute of the Soviet Academy of Sciences (PIN RAN), where she has been doing research since then and received her doctorate in 1985 (candidate title, on Mesozoic stone flies ). From 1993 to 1995 she was Deputy Director for Science and from 1996 a senior scientist.

She is particularly concerned with paleontology of stoneflies (Plecoptera), mayflies (Ephemeroptera) and the extinct orders Palaeodictyoptera , Megasecoptera and Diaphanoptera .
