Nina Dulleck

Nina Dulleck (* 1975 in Soest , Westphalia ) is a German illustrator and author of children's books .

Life

Nina Dulleck is self-taught . She started drawing as a child and has been writing stories since first grade. At the age of 16 her pictures were noticed by a publisher who won Dulleck for his publishing house. Since then she has regularly published calendars and children's books.

In 2017/2018 she illustrated the new edition of Paul Maar's nine-volume children's book series Das Sams for the Hamburg publishing house Friedrich Oetinger . She illustrated Margit Auer's bestseller series The School of Magical Animals for Carlsen Verlag .

The picture book Boje hebt abbe, written and illustrated by her, was awarded the Leipzig Reading Compass by the Reading Foundation in 2020 .

Nina Dulleck is the donor of the privately initiated “The Golden Brush” award for children's book illustration. This prize was awarded for the first time in 2020. The Austrian illustrator Felicitas Kuhn was honored for her life's work .

Nina Dulleck is married and lives with her husband and three children in Gau-Algesheim in Rheinhessen .
