Ninetta March

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ninetta March is a march by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 447). The work was performed for the first time on March 5, 1893 in the Golden Rose in Vienna.

Remarks

The march was put together based on motifs from the operetta Princess Ninetta . The work thus joins a series of compositions (opus numbers 445 , 446 , 448 , 449 and 450 ) that take up all the themes from this operetta. The title name is taken from the rather confused plot of the operetta. During the march, the performance songs of Kassim and Princess Ninetta are musically processed.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 2 minutes and 38 seconds. This time can vary somewhat depending on the conductor's musical conception.
