Niyazi Hacibəyov
Niyazi Hacıbəyov (alternative Azerbaijani spelling Niyazi Hacıbäyov , called Maestro Niyazi ; born November 7 . Jul / 20th August 1912 greg. In Tbilisi , † 1984 ) was an Azerbaijani conductor. He was famous beyond the borders of Azerbaijan .
He conducted the first performances of works ( opera , ballet and symphony ) of many well-known Azerbaijani composers such as Üzeyir Hacıbəyov , Müslüm Maqomayev , Qara Qarayev , Fikrət Əmirov , Arif Mälikow.
He conducted orchestras with Svyatoslaw Richter , Heinrich Neuhaus , David Oistrach and Mstislaw Rostropowitsch .
