Niyazi Tamakan (born January 1, 1932 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player .

Career

Niyazi Tamakan started his career at Kasımpaşa Istanbul . There he played for two years and then moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul . In his first season with Fenerbahçe, he won the Istanbul City Championship.

In October 1956 Tamakan went to MKE Ankaragücü and returned to Fenerbahçe Istanbul after two months. In 1959, the striker and his teammates won the Turkish championship in club history for the first time. Two years after winning the championship, Tamakan changed the club colors, he became a player in city rivals Galatasaray Istanbul . In his second and final season for the yellow-reds , he was again Turkish champion. For Galatasaray it was the first championship title in the club's history.

Niyazi Tamakan's career ended at the end of the 1963/64 season with Kasımpaşa Istanbul.
