Njeru is a city in central Uganda with 61,975 inhabitants. It is located in the Buikwe district at the outflow of the Victoria Nile from Lake Victoria . On the other bank of the river is the city of Jinja .
There are trunk road connections to Kampala , Kayunga and via Jinja to Iganga . In addition, the place has a connection to the Uganda Railway , which continues from Mombasa on the Indian Ocean to Kampala.
