Iganga is a city in central Uganda with 45,023 inhabitants. It is the capital of the Iganga district of the same name .
The city is the location of the main Busoga University campus .
Iganga has a small airfield . There are major road connections to Jinja , Kaliro , Busembatia and Busia . In addition, the place has a connection to the Uganda Railway , which continues from Mombasa on the Indian Ocean to Kampala .
The local Catholic parish of St. Peter Claver is part of the Jinja diocese .
