Noé Claye completed his first competition in the Telemark World Cup on November 27, 2015 in Hintertux . He finished 19th in the Classic Sprint and scored his first World Cup points straight away. At the Telemark Junior World Championships 2016 in Les Contamines-Montjoie , he reached the second round in the parallel sprint and was 14th in the sprint and 32nd in the Classic. He finished his first World Cup season in 43rd place overall. At the 2017 Junior World Championship in Rjukan , Norway , he finished 13th in the Classic and 17th in the sprint and was eliminated in the parallel sprint - as in the previous year - in the round of 16. Following the season in which he achieved 36th place in the overall World Cup, he also took part in the Telemark World Championship 2017 in La Plagne and reached the quarter-finals in the parallel sprint.
In the following season 2017/18 Claye succeeded in advancing into the expanded world elite of his sport. He was able to classify himself regularly among the top ten and reach 15th place in the overall ranking. At the Telemark Junior World Championships 2018 in Mürren he was Junior World Champion in Classic.
