Noboru Nakamura

Noboru Nakamura ( Japanese 中 村 登 , Nakamura Noboru ; born August 4, 1913 in Tokyo , † May 20, 1981 ) was a Japanese director and screenwriter .

life and career

Noboru Nakamura's film Twin Sisters of Kyoto (Koto) in 1964 and the film Portrait of Chieko (Chieko-sho) 1968 for the Oscar nominated (Academy Award) in the category for best foreign language film. His film Three Faces of Love or Lost Spring (Sekishun) was shown at the 17th International Film Festival in Berlin in 1967  . His early work Nami was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 1952 under the title Vagues .
