Noeddale Necropolis

The necropolis of Noeddale is located on a sloping slope, south of Ossi in the Valle di Sae, in the province of Sassari in Sardinia .

The six Domus de Janas , half of which are sunk into the rock with short dromoi, are in the same area as the necropolis of Mesu 'e Montes and S'Adde e Asile.

The first domus consists of eleven chambers, one has a ceiling with a double pitched roof consisting of imitation ridge beams and crossbeams, an artistic reproduction of contemporary houses, bull horns, and false doors with frames. The second chamber, the “Casa e quella delle Spirali”, is important with various decorative elements. It has two pillars and is characterized by several decorative elements, typical of the funerary art of Sardinian Domus de Janas, including double spirals at the entrance.
