Nomada fucata is a bee from the family of Apidae .
features
The bees have a body length of 8 to 10 millimeters (females) or 7 to 10 millimeters (males). The head of the female is black and red, the thorax is black and yellow. The tergites are basal and black at the rear margin, red and otherwise banded yellow on the disc of the first. The sternites are spotted yellow. The labrum, which is saddled across in front of the front margin, is red and has no teeth. The third antennae is shorter than the fourth. The label ( scutellum ) has a yellow spot. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are blunt at the end and have two small thorns lying next to each other, curved to the side. The males look similar to the females. however have a yellow spotted head. The antennae are knotty at the back. The sixth through eighth links are more or less black. The thigh rings ( trochanters ) of the hind legs have long hair fringes. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs have rounded hair spots at the bottom. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs have two separate small thorns at the end.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is distributed throughout Europe, east to Central Asia. The animals fly in two generations from early April to late August. They parasitize Andrena flavipes .
