Nomada italica is a bee from the family of Apidae .
features
The bees are 11 to 13 millimeters long. The head of the female is black and drawn yellow-red. The thorax is black with yellow spots. The abdomen is also black, with yellow bands, of which the front ones are often narrowly interrupted. The labrum is yellow-red and has a large tooth. The third antennae is shorter than the fourth. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are blunt at the end and have short, side by side and on top of each other, closely spaced, short thorns. The males look similar to the females.
Occurrence and way of life
The species is widespread in southern and in some places also in central Europe. The animals fly in two generations per year. They parasitize Andrena gallica .
