Karl Wilhelm of Dalla Torre

Karl Wilhelm von Dalla Torre (born July 14, 1850 in Kitzbühel , Tyrol , † April 6, 1928 in Innsbruck ) was an Austrian biologist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Dalla Torre ".

Live and act

Dalla Torre studied natural sciences at the University of Innsbruck . In 1874 he received his doctorate and in 1881 his habilitation in entomology at the University of Innsbruck. From 1890 he was associate professor for zoology and from 1921 honorary member of the University of Innsbruck.
