Nominando Soares Martins
José Nominando Soares Martins , fighting name Buras , is a politician from East Timor . He is a member of the Partido Democrático (PD) .
Political career
In the elections to the constituent assembly , Martins ran for 12th place on the PD list, but the party only received seven seats. Several candidates gave up their seats, too, so that eventually Martins Samuel Mendonça (Rank 22) nachrückte in the Assembly, with the dismissal of East Timor to independence on 20 May 2002 to the National Parliament of East Timor was. During the legislative period, however, Mendonça gave his seat to Martins.
In the 2007 elections , Martins was in 15th place on the list and in the 2012 elections , he was only the fourth substitute candidate.
For this, Martins was sworn in on August 8, 2012 for the fifth government as State Secretary for the Environment (Secretário de Estado do Meio Ambiente SEMA). The term of office ended on February 16, 2015.
