The Nonnenberg is 314.4 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Lusatian Mountains north of Großschweidnitz in the southern district of Görlitz .
The Nonnenberg towers over the valley of the Großschweidnitz Water, which adjoins to the south and southeast . The mountain slopes, including the summit, are untypical for the Lusatian highlands, and have no forest. A drinking water elevated tank has been on the summit since 1902, which was built in the course of the construction of the Saxon sanatorium and nursing home in Großschweidnitz.
