Patrik C. Höring

Patrik C. Höring (* 1968 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

After finishing school in Siegen and Essen-Kettwig , he studied Catholic theology in Bonn and Lucerne from 1990 to 1995 . There he became a member of the KStV Arminia Bonn . From 1995 to 1998 he was a pastoral assistant in Rothenburg LU . Since 1998 he has been a consultant in the youth pastoral care department in the Archdiocese of Cologne . After graduating as Dr. theol. In 2000 at the University of Bonn with Gottfried Bitter CSSp and his habilitation in 2010 with Reinhold Boschki , he held lectureships and professorial positions in practical theology at the universities of Cologne , Bonn and Siegen. Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Philosophical-Theological University SVD St. Augustin . There he was appointed full professor for catechetics and didactics of religious education in 2012. He is the editor of the university's yearbook and director of studies for the theological additional qualification for students and employees in social work . Since 2016 he has been teaching at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne department.

His research focuses on the theory and practice of youth pastoral care, didactics of catechesis, empirical youth research: religiosity of young people, pastoral theological and socio-ethical questions in the context of youth welfare and church youth social work and missionary pastoral care, Fresh Expressions of Church.
