Youth ministry

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Roman Catholic Church, youth pastoral care refers to the work of young people in the church as well as the work of full-time and voluntary church workers with young people and for young people. Youth pastoral care is part of church pastoral care as a whole. The field of youth pastoral care is often referred to as youth pastoral care. However, since the term pastoral care gives the impression that on the part of the church only the soul is of interest, the more comprehensive term pastoral is preferred today to indicate that the well-being of the whole youth is or should be a concern of youth pastoral care .

Since 2000 there has been a first chair for youth pastoral care at the Philosophical-Theological University of Benediktbeuern .
